// Load & Performance Testing Consultancy

Understand how your systems behave under load.

RPM Solutions is an independent Australian consultancy specialising in load, stress and performance testing of web applications, APIs and enterprise platforms. We have moved far beyond the traditional approach of simply replicating front-end activity at various workload levels and measuring response times. We understand that many user and system generated actions trigger cascades of asynchronous activity, and the time taken for those workflows to complete is important - so we incorporate such measurments into our load testing designs. We find the bottlenecks, quantify the limits, and give you the evidence to go live with confidence.

What we do

Traditional Load Testing

Validate that your system meets response-time and throughput targets under expected production load, modelled from real traffic patterns.

→ Load Testing

Event Oriented Load Testing

We can run production email workload, with various attachment profiles, to trigger complex workflows, and can measure interal system processing or even time to recieve email responses back at origin addresses. Such testing identifies queueing characteristics and reliability of processing email (or other message) workload spikes .

→ Event Oriented Load Testing

Stress Testing

Push beyond expected peaks to find the breaking point, observe failure modes, and verify graceful degradation and recovery.

→ Stress Testing

Backlog Testing

Many complex systems involve queues that can build up during outages. Backlog testing re-creates such backlogs and measures the time taken to process such backlogs, and the impact of such procesing on performance of connected systems

→ Event Oriented Load Testing

Stress Testing

Push beyond expected peaks to find the breaking point, observe failure modes, and verify graceful degradation and recovery.

→ Stress Testing

Soak Testing

Sustained-load endurance runs that expose memory leaks, connection-pool exhaustion, and slow resource degradation over hours or days.

→ Soak Testing

Spike Testing

Simulate sudden traffic surges — marketing campaigns, ticket releases, breaking news — and measure how fast your platform absorbs them.

→ Spike Testing

Scalability Testing

Measure how capacity grows as you add resources, validate auto-scaling policies, and find the point of diminishing returns.

→ Scalability Testing

Future State Testing

Validate performance with database transactional record volumes set for a future state, such as one or two years into the future, to validate performance for a future state (when the solution is out of warranty).

→ Future State Testing

Knowledge Base

Deep technical references on performance metrics, queueing theory, common bottlenecks and CI/CD integration — written by practitioners.

Why teams engage us

Evidence, not opinion

Every engagement produces quantified results: throughput ceilings, latency percentiles, saturation points and capacity headroom — with the raw data to back them.

We use the best tools

We work OpenText Performance Engineering products, formally known as LoadRunner, but can develop custom testing harnessess with any technology.

Engineering-grade methodology

A disciplined five-phase approach from workload modelling through to root-cause analysis. Repeatable, auditable, and documented.

Preparing for a launch, migration or peak event? The best time to performance test is before the architecture is locked in — the second-best time is now. Talk to us about your timeline.
